Canestrato with Truffles is a semi-hard sheep’s milk cheese, good for grating or as a table cheese. Typical of Southern Italy, the paste is compact and white, the crust is thin and a pale yellow color, and lightly flavored with aromatic Italian black truffles.
Enjoy as part of an antipasto platter – this cheese is quite strong, but pairs well with honey and crunchy taralli or breadsticks.
