I've been making it since my first days selling ice cream at a farmers market in 1996, inspired by the fresh berries grown by neighborhood farms. We make it the same way we always have, with fresh cultured buttermilk for tartness, lemon juice for a bright bite, and from-scratch blueberry sauce for sweet-tart balance. Reminiscent of the best sherbet you've ever tasted. Grass-grazed milk.
Jeni has been making Lemon Buttermilk Frozen Yogurt since the early days of scooping ice cream at a Columbus market. Back then, it wasn’t uncommon to see her top this zesty lemon yogurt with whatever fresh berries she had on hand, like the sweet-tart blueberry sauce mixed into this flavor.
