Scarzello Barolo - 750 Milliliters
2013 is a vintage that is often praised and considered to be a benchmark vintage for Barolo. Wines from producers like Frederco Scarzello are a treat to have within these thrilling vintages because they express the full potential of what a good Barolo should be. Macerated between 30-50 days, aged for 24 months in oak tonneaux, and then another 24 months in bottle before release. Depth and finesse best describe Frederico's Barolo with ample body and notes of black olive, cherry pit, and rhubarb. The tannins are mouth coating but the acidity is elegant.
