I.M. Pastry Studio started in 2009 as a home-based business, and is comprised of owners Tiffany Washington and Tamika Young, who are mothers, wives, business women, and, most importantly, friends.
At age 8, Tiffany started baking from scratch with her grandmother for holidays and birthdays. After watching an episode of “Ace of Cakes” on the Food Network, she thought to herself, “I can do that.” Applying her art background with her baking skills, Tiffany started making cakes and cupcakes for close family and friends. Soon, she received orders from friends of friends and eventually strangers! I.M. Pastry Studio was born.
Tamika then joined the business a few years later, and the two women are excited to share their passion for pastries, design, and pop culture, which all contribute to the I.M. Pastry Studio brand. As two young African–American women, becoming entrepreneurs has always been a dream for them. The two women are completely committed to making I.M. Pastry Studio a success!
