Coastal Seafoods (Minneapolis)

The food was spectacular and beautifully displayed. 5 stars for the food. I had some issues with the online ordering process though. First, I was unable to get an estimate for delivery cost prior to ordering. This is not helpful when comparing prices for a catering event. You may consider putting in a delivery charge estimater up front. By the time I was ready to order online, I had decided to pick up the order. Second, as I am visiting for a short time (do not live locally), it isn't realistic for me to become a Mercato member for free delivery. I skipped the SAVE for storing my information and then couldn't get farther. After a chat, I was able to continue the order - not because of what they told me but simply because I tried the SAVE option. And finally, I couldn't put in my (again, nonlocal) billing zip code without getting a yellow error and ultimately a message that you didn't service that area. I tried a phone call for that problem which disconnected after saying hello. At this point I picked a local zip code and my order was accepted. I've worked in tech all my career and found this to be a not-very-pleasant experience. If it weren't for past (awesome) experiences with Coastal food, I would have given up and gone elsewhere for my ($200) food choice.
