This family-owned and -operated butcher has been around since 1960, serving up delectable cuts of organic beef, pork and chicken. Their dry-aged beef is a specialty of the house, and they have a wonderful selection of imported cheeses, olive oil and appetizers that make a great start to any meal. Part of the charm of the shop is that it feels like it’s frozen in time in the '60s, and its known for having a wonderfully helpful and attentive staff. Check out their huge selection of deli products, including venison, ostrich and Kobe beef burgers, as well as a variety or prosciuttos and other hams. Located right in the heart of Carroll Gardens, Paisanos has been offering high-quality cuts and warm, friendly service for generations.

    The order arrived late and when I called about it, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about out. When I finally talked to somebody who would answer my questions, the made claims about when the order went out that were, frankly, unlikely. I suspect that they forgot about it and then scrambled to fix it when I called... but didn't want to fess up (they should have, it wasn't that big a deal to be an hour late and, instead, they disgraced themselves... which was weird and unnecessary). In any case, I got my order $20 off (first order). Then Mercato sent me an extra $10 credit due to the late delivery. So I still feel It's a very good deal on a high-quality turkey. I will use the service again. I recommend that you instruct your telephone receptionists in proper etiquette and to be baldly honest with customers. We can handle the truth. It is much better to know the truth in order to solve scheduling problems (like the one you created for me), then to get some vacuous whitewash about how the turkey was sent on delivery 1.5 hours previously (when it's only 30 mins late). We know mistakes happen and since your response to making mistakes is to give credits for future orders (an excellent policy), I think that's all you need.

    I've already discussed. The special instructions I submitted (to put the steak in 3 containers) weren't followed, and the food leaked all over the bag.
