Barbero is an artisanl pastry shop that opened in 1881 in the small town of Cherasco, in the region of Piemonte. The confectioner's shop was founded by Marco Barbero and it was then taken over by Giancarlo Torta. Barbero decided to use excess Piedmont hazelnuts taken from his nougat confections and combine them with a delicious chocolate mixture. Their chocolate products are still handmade and passionately produced according to the traditional Piedmontese art of confectionery.
