We make pre-dawn trips to NYC’s famous Fulton Fish Market to handpick the best seafood for our customers, bringing you fresh fish directly from the source. Our mission is to provide the freshest fish, combined with superior customer service so every customer leaves our store satisfied. We offer everything from daily fresh fish, live lobster and crab, frozen items, prepared items and much more!

Owner Bobby McNeil began his passion in the seafood market back when he was 26 years old. After realizing that the local community in Hamden needed a place to get fresh, quality fish that was selected with care, he opened #1 Fish Market and has spent the last 40 years plus as a purveyor of the freshest fish in Connecticut.
